Ok so at this point in my project I have begun to split into 2 directions, I originally studied art and one of my outcomes is looking at more art based outcome, with use of photography and some conceptual ideas, which graphic designers aren’t always the most friendly with. And my second id more of a date collection in the same way twitter is just updates of “states” it would be an update on characteristics that make you. And free range taking over as a final idea, in reverse to eat, eat, eat free-range.

My first visual outcome would be looking at merging two groups of people under the same boat, So obviously the fixed gear cyclists relate because they are free to roam, they can go anywhere on these bikes, up walls, backwards, and what they are using is the pure form of a bike, just a cog, a chain and wheels essentially, no gears, no breaks. In relation to chickens or pigs for example which are generally fed better foods, let to roam were they want, (within reason). To show this my first idea was to make a badge that would go on the bike, lots of fixed gear bikers have stickers all over the bike some political, some for Van’s some just because they look good. Visually I made sticker mock up of a cartoon chicken in a cartoon burger (which I will post up later on).  . . and I then thought about spaces on bikes that aren’t as popularly used, for example the space between the frame, where some locks are made to fit.. . I wanted to make this a customisable area that the fixed – gear riders could customise themselves but still carry the message about being free-range and healthy.

My second idea, more graphical, was to produce a twitter style application, without the status, meaning you can update from anywhere via the internet and other people can see you “profile” but by profile I don’t mean like a face book profile I mean a small peace of data that sums you up. I come back to how people judge people, with relation to the sports drinks for this idea. And the post above is some research I have done using other sites that currently do this on a non live scale.

I thought about using the triangular space on bikes to get accross messages for my project. and had a look for people who have used bike space to modify or create on. some are extreme!
